As a status member of Lufthansa and the Star Alliance", you can take advantage of many benefits, including an exclusive lounge offer with many comfortable features.

Frequent Travellers have access to more than 50 lounges worldwide, including ten exclusive FTL lounges. Senators have access to more than 500 lounges, including 130 Senator and Star Gold lounges. These lounges include a bistro area where snacks and beverages are served, as well as a rest area where you can relax in comfortable lounge chairs, watch television, or enjoy a wide selection of newspapers and magazines. Some lounges also feature a business section with individual workstations equipped with telephones and PC connections for business travelers.

As part of an ongoing effort to offer the best in lounge service, Lufthansa recently opened a new 2,600-square-foot lounge in Dubai. The entrance area of the lounge is in black with the Star Alliance map and logo as its main focus. The interior also follows the Star Alliance look. Lufthansa staff welcomes First and Business Class passengers, Lufthansa Senator or Frequent Traveller Card members, and to Star Alliance Gold members in this new lounge.

In addition to the benefits you'll enjoy with Lufthansa, you also enjoy Star Alliance benefits, as a Star Alliance Silver Member (= Frequent Traveller in Miles & More) and the Star Alliance Gold Member (= Senator in Miles & More). When making reservations, on fully booked flights, you will receive preferential treatment and be placed on a priority wait list.

Lufthansa Senators enjoy even more privileges when traveling on a Star Alliance carrier, such as, check-in at the Star Gold counter, as well as extra free baggage allowance (20-kg additional on the weight concept or one additional piece on the piece concept). To make your airport stays as pleasant as possible, as a Star Alliance Gold Member, you have access to all Lufthansa Senator lounges and the more than 100 Star Alliance Star Gold lounges worldwide. As a Lufthansa Senator or Frequent Traveller, you already enjoy the exclusive benefits associated with your status. Since September 1, 2000, you enjoy even more benefits as a Miles & More status member.

Miles earned that won't expire

All the miles you have earned since July 1, 1997, will now remain valid, for as long as you remain a holder of a valid Lufthansa Senator or Frequent Traveller card. If your Frequent Traveller card expires, and your account does not have the required number of status miles for renewal, all miles credited to your account until then remain valid for three years.

Mileage bonus for your loyalty

Effective September 1, 2000, as a Lufthansa Senator or Frequent Traveller, each time you fly on Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Tyrolean Airways, Lauda Air, or any of the other Star Alliance carriers, you will earn a 25% Executive Bonus. That's in addition to the normal miles (flight miles and class of service bonus), credited to your account for your Star Alliance flight. These miles can be used for an award and also count as status miles for qualification and re-qualification for Lufthansa Senator or Frequent Traveller status.* The Executive Bonus is our thank you, expressing our appreciation for your loyalty to Lufthansa and for being a Miles & More member and will replace the previous Welcome gift awarded in the past.

Give your flight award to someone else

As a Senator or Frequent Traveller member, you will also be able to redeem your miles for free award travel for your friends or aquantainces, provided they are used for personal travel. These third parties do not have to be accompanied by the Miles & More member when they travel.

you can also use the upgrade award you receive after having earned 50,000 status miles for your family members, friends, and acquaintances traveling with you. This voucher is valid on all European routes. Two vouchers are required for an upgrade on intercontinental flights.
you will also enjoy increased flexibility when we replace the "Upgrade Voucher Booklet" with an overdraft credit of 160,000 miles. This credit package can be used to redeem for any Lufthansa mileage awards. This means that effective September 1, 2000, we will no longer accept new orders for the old voucher booklet. Old vouchers will be accepted for Lufthansa flights until December 31, 2000.
