How to redeem awards

Requesting and receiving your award is as easy as it is convenient. Reserve your award by calling or mailing your request to the Customer Service Center at least seven days before your departure, and your ticket will be sent to you by mail. If your request is received between three and six days, your award ticket will be processed and sent to you by express mail for a fee. Requests received less than three days before departure, cannot be processed. Award seats for flights as well as Adventure Awards are limited and subject to availability.

To make your reservation by phone, call Miles & More Customer Service at 800 581-6400 between 8 am and 8 pm EST, Monday through Friday. Please remember to have your PIN (Personal Identification Number) ready.

Be sure to include:

  • your account number

  • PIN number

  • name(s) of traveler(s)

  • relationship/age of traveler(s) (if applicable)

  • flight number

  • award origin and destination

  • dates of travel

  • class of service

  • credit card number and expiration date, for airport tax/fees and any express service charges.

Take someone along.
Use your miles to request awards for your spouse or partner*, as well as children under 27 years. You can also redeem your miles for friends and relatives, provided they travel together with you. Award tickets are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
