Are you required to fly a U.S. flag carrier when flying on official business? Now you can enjoy Lufthansa's world renowned service while still fulfilling this obligation.
The Fly America Act permits travel on flights operated by foreign code-share carriers provided the ticket is issued on the U.S. code-sharing carrier's ticket stock with the U.S. carrier's flight number.
(For example, you can fly on any of our United Airlines code-share flights which have a United flight number, but are operated by Lufthansa aircraft. Tickets must be issued on United Airlines ticket stock)
As a member of United Mileage Plus or Lufthansa Miles & More®, you can earn miles in either program for code-share flights.
